With the severe hardening of the insurance
marketplace, carriers & reinsurers are limiting their capacity on many
programs and classes of business.
We have a number of carriers that are willing to write your umbrella / excess
liability exposures. Outlined below are a few carriers that we work
with.
Scottsdale / National Casualty - Min
premium $2,500 first MM, $1500 each additional. If over Scottsdale primary,
$1500 / $1000. Will write most classes including truckers under 300 mile
radius. No Residential GC's. 20,000,000 capacity
Firemans Fund - Minimum Premium $1,000.
Likes Habitational / Mixed mercantile, OL&T risks, smaller artisans,
$3,000,000 in sales and less
Restaurants with 25% or less liquor,
Manufacturers. NO heavy products, medical related classes or truckers.
50,000,000 capacity
Essex Insurance - Min premium $2,500 first
MM, $1500 each additional. Will write GC's with 5MM in sales or less. NO auto
driven exposures(10 or more units). 5,000,000 capacity
United National / Diamond State - Minimum
premium $5,000. Writes most classes. No residential contractors and NO
trucking. 10,000,000 capacity
National Union - 10MM in house binding
authority for small artisan contractors with $5,000,000 in sales or less,
habitational / mixed mercantile. No GC's.
Gulf - No truckers. Likes artisan type
risks. 25,000,000 capacity.
Lexington - Minimum Premium $25,000, No
Residential GC's 20,000,000 capacity
Underlying Insurer Requirements
- 1/1/1/2 mil-General Liability
- 1 mil-Auto Liability
- 100/500/100 Employers Liability, contractors
500/500/500
- 1 mil-Liquor Liability
- 1/1 mil-Professional Liability
- 1 mil-Other Coverages
SIR'S Low SIR's, generally 10,000 and Nil for
Excess Liability. Attachments Points (Anywhere XS of the primary insurance)
Submission Requirements - a fully completed
submission upfront gets the carrier to take notice a lot quicker and gets you
